Meaning of put-down

Hi

I am aware that the phrase "put-down" means a remark that is intended to make someone look stupid. Could you please tell me if these work naturally?

Enough of your put-downs.

She was passing one put-down after another.

Thanks,

Tom

PS: Any suitable synonym?
