Meaning of "profile" in this context?

Hi~ What is the meaning of the word "profile" in this context and does the phrase in red make sense to you?

I understood "profile" as same as characteristices and in that case, the phrase doesn't seem to make sense.

From the previous sentence, "These students" refer to the same students who have two different profiles, that is "emotional disorders" and "having difficulty internalizing what has been said and altering behavior".

Do I misunderstand the phrase?

Any idea will be welcomed and I appreciate for sharing your comments in advance.

--------------------

There are several drawbacks to this approach. The most significant
drawback is that the process takes a long time. In some cases, it can take
years, and individuals with the most severe emotional disorders seem most
resistant to this process. Often those who suffer from impulsive behaviors
are unable to understand why they engage in the behaviors and are even
less capable of knowing what they can do to stop the behaviors. In addition,
the ability to accurately process language is compromised by a
chemical imbalance in the brain. This means that students struggling with
severe emotional disorders are often the same individuals who have difficulty
internalizing what has been said and altering behavior. These same
profile students tend to manipulate the knowledge gained in therapy to
avoid taking responsibility and receiving consequences for their actions.
