Meaning of "on the horizon"
According to a dictionary "on the horizon" idiom means "coming in the near future". Is it only one meaning?
Can we use this idiom also when we speak about protagonists of books that appear in the storyline?
The story takes a tragic turn when an enigmatic person (e.g. rival of main protagonist) appears on the horizon.
