Meaning of "off" and "of"

Hi, I would like to aks what "off" and "of" mean in below sentence.


[Franklin Graham declares, a little too vividly, that the country “has taken a nosedive off of the moral diving board into the cesspool of humanity.]


I know the general idea of that sentence but would like to know exact meaning of those two words.
