Meaning of "miss"

Hi, dear friends

I don't get the meaning of the red part of the sentence, in fact I don't get the point implied by the whole sentence. I would be very grateful, if you help me.

[The man (Flynn) has a dog called "Moe". The woman askes him what Moe stands for.]

"He looks like Moe. You know, Moe Howard." When her face stayed blank, Flynn sighed.

"Women, they don't know what they're missing when it comes to the courageous comedy and wit of The Three Stooges."

"Yes, yes, we do know what we're missing. We miss it on purpose."

Thank you in advance

"Don't know what they're missing" is a common expression remotely related to "Ignorance is bliss."

Or perhaps, "Don't judge a book by its cover!"

You may know of the existence of X in an abstract way, but until you have fully experienced it, you cannot judge its worth.

The expression implies that if you really knew what it was all about, you would like it, or be i

to miss: to fail to comprehend, sense, or experience

The dialog goes something like this:

Women don't know all the wonderful things they fail to understand and experience on the topic of The Three Stooges. (One of the three stooges is named 'Moe'.)

Yes, we know what we fail to experience. We don't like those things and we don't want to experience those things so we av

Thanks a lot for your helpful replies

But yet there remain some questions: What is the point about the the three stooges that the women don't get? Is it a general point? What is the relationship between that point and the reason for calling the dog Moe? At the the end, the woman says she knows what she doesn't comprehend. Is it logicall? I mean how it is possible for someone to say "I kn

OK, I'll try.

So what kind of exprience is it? something other than watching? Would you clarify what experience someone could get by watching a movie like " The Three stooges"? -- The thesis of the fictional comment in the first post is that to men, the Three Stooges are funny, a pleasure to watch, while to women, they are not funny – they are uninteresting. Whether that is actua
