Meaning of _It's a been _

Hi:
I don't understand this sentence from the movie "pulp fiction."

"It's a been worth him doing it, just so I could've caught him doing it."
I think this guy (Vincent) means he wants to get someone who keyed his car, but what exact does this sentence mean?
Thanks a lot!
