Well, in literal sense, it appears jarring to my mind.

But when I look at the meaning of Scramble : Something to cook an egg by mixing the white and yellow parts together.

I would presume that the person mixed with the passengers & in the rush to get a seat on the plane knocked over an omelette plate.

Don't count me on this though !

Where did you find this strange sentence? The whole thing is a play on words -- "Eggworthy" is not a real name, it's just chosen as a pun with "scrambling" (like "scrambled eggs") and "omelet."
