Meaning of Do tell

Hi there,
Could someone please explain me what is the meaning of "Do tell" ?
I saw it using in conversations.

Actually I think we use ( Do or does in the present ) & ( did in the past ) before the normal verbs as an emphatic verb before the main verb ... for example .. : -I do tell the truth .

Actually I think we use ( Do or does in the present ) & ( did in the past ) before the normal verbs as an emphatic verb before the main verb ... for example .. :
-I do tell the truth .
-They do elope to UAE .
- He does tell me his name .
- she did cut the thread . ( note we use the present form for the main verb after "did" )

"Do" + verb is a way of asking someone to do something. It emphasises how much you want them to do it, and has the sense that you are trying to persuade them.

"Do tell" = Please tell me/us about this thing (whatever it is); we'd really like to know.

Similarly:

"I'm having a party next week. Do come!" = I really hope you can come / I'd really like you to come.
