Meaning of "do a face-to-face"

Hi, everybody !

If somebody says "She did a face-to-face with the applicant", does it mean that she interviewed the applicant ?

Also, is it a natural collocation ?

Thanks a bunch !

Face-to-face, in your sentence, means interview in person (i.e., actually meeting the person to interview him/her and not though a phone call). It can be quite often used in conversations.
