Meaning of "crack-up"

Hi,

If I say "you're a real crack-up", does it mean that I find the person, to whom I address the sentence, very funny?

Thanks !

" Just don't accidentally say, "You're a real crack-pot". That's something else again! CJ

That's the impression I get, though I'd say, "You really crack me up!"

Thanks, Jim

And I don't know anyone who could be a crack-pot in their own right, lol

(Although my boss calls me a crack-pot whenever I come forward with some weird suggestion)

just kidding
