Meaning of a sentence
A dear friend wrote me "Take care, I won't say bye". I just want to know if "bye" is meant as "farewell". Does it mean he won't come back or what else?

I think he means that it will be a very short time before you communicate (or meet) again. The time is not long enough for a "goodbye."
