meaning of a phrase

Hello, I'm afraid if someone give me a clear translation of this phrase:" He was well positioned to turn out a lighthearted charmer, with a hint, particularly in the rich blacks of the nearest girl's lace, of the gorgeously fluid, impassioned portraits he could deliver with equal panache"
As a hint for this phrase it point to a painting by Fransisco de Goya titled as " The Straw Manikin"

Top answer

He was able to produce lighthearted, charming paintings. He could also, with equal flair, produce gorgeously fluid, impassioned portraits. In this lighthearted painting there is a hint of the latter, especially in the rich black colours of the lace that the nearest girl is wearing.
