meaning negotiation

Hello!
I'm doing a research on meaning negotiation in native English speaker interactions. I'm trying to create situations, like role plays, in which a listener doesn't understand the meaning of a word or a phrase to see what speech acts are used to get meaning clarified. Could you provide me with English words or phrases that an English speaker might not understand? It could be a dialect variation for example or something like that...
I appreciate your help.
