Meaning--- knocked the nightstand off ?

This is a little urgent question. I will really appreciate it if you answer me soon.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My job is very important to me, and I take it seriously. I can never stop and fully enjoy the present, because I am always ticking ahead toward the future. Ths is just part of my nature, and I have grown to accept it. When it comes to Daylight-Saving Time, I am easily adaptable. I enjoy a break from routine and welcome new experiences. (A) Though, come fall, it is nice to reutrn to my normal schedule, I have had some setbacks in my life. (B)Several times I have ben accidentally knocked off the nightstand, but I have always emerged whole. I may look fragile and delicate, yet I am really quite strong. Most times, I remain in the background, ticking quitly. However, I am proud of myself, and I enjoy what I do.

(1) Is the sentence (A) all right? I think the meaning is not connected. and 'come fall' should be corrected to 'comes fall'.

(2) What is the meaning of (B)? Did he really knocked the nightstand off? Or is it just a metaphor? I think it is a metaphor. That is, he had some setbacks accidently in his life, but he recovered from it. But the answer of the book ( the above contained ) says that he really knocked it off. But I can't agree. Please .....I hope I am right.

a) come fall - come Autumn. This is a way of saying 'when fall/autumn comes' but it is correct with 'come'.

b) This doesn't say that it knocked the nightstand. It was knocked off the nightstand. 'I have been knocked off....' - something has happened to whatever is speaking, this doesn't indicate an action it is taking itself. That little word 'been' holds the key to the correct meaning. C

There are some other errors in here too. For example, ... it is nice to reutrn to my normal schedule, I have had some setbacks in my life - This is a comma splice. Quietly is spelled incorrectly.

If this is being submitted for a homework assignment, some further editing is necessary.

Really thank you. I thought the story was about a person and the whole sentence was a metaphor. So, I thoght (B) is not a correct sentence. Since I thought it about a person, the all sentence looked so strange. Why he is talking about fall, what that nightstand, I thought it would be a Konglish. But after reading your explaination, everything is so clear. Really, really thank you.
