Hello, I have problem understanding the following sentence:
A day into the state of emergency, that already looked less likely: on Feb. 6, the court's remaining three judges issued a statement revoking their original ruling "in light of the concerns raised by the president."
1. What does "a day into" mean?
2. What does "that" suggest? I don't think we could use this word after a comma if it is a relative pronoun.
3. What does the author mean by "less likely"?
Thanks in advance!
