Meaning?

Hi,

When we say "have him replaced with John" would it mean that we replace him or he is replaced regardless of who replaces him?

eg Tom is my assistant. I have him replaced with John.

This means I cause him to be replaced by John. John will be my new assistant.

I have him replaced means I get someone else to authorize this, eg my manager.

If I have the authority myself to replace him, we'd say simply 'I replaced him with John'.


replaced by is more natural than
