Meaning?

Hi,

What are the meanings of "twenty points down" and "two months to go" and "prayer meeting" in the following text?

"No one beats me in Mississippi. Just ask the governor. He was twenty points down with two months to go, and was trying to do it himself. Didn't need my help. I flew down, had a prayer meeting, the boy got converted, and he won in a landslide.

Thanks

It seems to be talking about an election. "twenty points down" means twenty percentage points behind in opinion polls, and "with two months to go" means that the election was in two months' time. A "prayer meeting" is a meeting where a group of people pray together (in the religious sense).
