What is the meaning of move others in the following text?

At this, Schlichtmann sat up. He looked soberly at Conway. "Do you think it was really that bad? " Schlichtmann's laughed again, the same weak laugh. "Gorge actually told me he felt good today in the cross-examination. Can you believe it? Ah, it's not George's fault. He is a brilliant guy, but he's not the sort of person who can move others. It's not just the way he is.

Please note that Gorge hasn't been acting good at cross-examination on that day.
