Meaning?

Hi,

What is the meaning of "to get Jonathan Demme arrested" in the following text? Does Bro really mean it or it is just a joke or something like that or the phrase has special meaning and connotation?

Despite every thing Bro had done for the cause over the past several months, Lisa concluded he was essentially a pompous ass, with his megaphone and black baseball cap. When she'd asked him to hold something for a moment,he'd replied , "not now.I have to get Jonathan Demme arrested. " She went back to Brooklyn hoping that she'd never have to deal with him again --- and Bro was happy to see her go.

The sentence has no special meaning, other than the normal meaning of the words. We don't know whether the speaker is serious or joking until we are in a position to understand the context.
