What is the meaning of sort of proves my point in the following context:
"You are very unusual man."
"I have no context with which to frame a reply to that observation."
"Sort of proves my point ,doesn't it?

Instead he gave a very strange response. He gave an UNUSUAL response.

In giving an unusual response, he proved the first person's point that he was unusual.
