Thanks for the reply.The question which remains is why paralyzing? Is shade of blue a bad thing? Is it paralyzing ? Does it refer to a bad mood or a bad emotional situation?

Apparently that is the emotional effect of these shades of blue. It is just graphic writing, to paint a picture for the reader. Imagine a virtual reality where you are immersed in blue swirls. Do you feel cold? Paralyzed? Afraid?

Thanks.Still I don"t understand the relation between shade of blue and the three violent deaths.Suppose we want to translate the text to another language .Would the translation make sense for the reader ,as far as blue shade and it's mentioning in the text, is concerned?
