Grammar

meaning

Hi
Please tell me what the underlined portion means.

Context:This is a criterion for assessing monologue

"point of view and person are integrated; an implied listener is evident throughout the monologue"

My guess:
Should the feelings the speaker is trying to convey appear natural?

Top answer

I take it to mean this. Before you start your monologue, decide who you are pretending to talk to. Then make sure everything you say fits that decision.
