Vocabulary

meaning

Hi
These lines are from the poem Seven ages by Shakespeare.

Please tell me whether my understanding is OK?

"His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,.."
The word world here means much. Am I correct?
