Meaning

Hi
I have a doubt with a work of P G Wodehouse:
Context : Mr Bramble is a professional boxer. He and his wife think they have brought to the world a rather intelligent
soft-hearted son(Harold), who they think should be kept from the fact that his is earning by punching.
Major Percy Stokes is Mrs Bramble's brother. he too thinks that the father's profession should be kept from the son.
Once he drops in at his sister's for a cup of tea, when he says something to Mr Bramble which the narrator puts it as-
I hope you are keeping it from Harold. It is the least you can do", and gone on to make one or two remarks about men of wrath which considering that his cheek -bones were glistening with Mr Bramble's buttered toast were in poor taste.
My question: Please tell me what the underlined portion means.

Well, I suppose it is just that commentary about men of wrath (perhaps a Biblical expression or perhaps just referring to boxers) does not fit with sloppy eating of buttered toast.

We know from the story that Percy considered boxing to be wicked (it is mentioned in the conversation between Percy and Jerry). He makes certain remarks criticizing the men of wrath (boxers). The author says that it is not appropriate as he was eating Mr. Bramble's bread, in other words he was criticizing and condemning boxing but at the same time he was enjoying eating something earned by the har

So both Mrs Bramble AND Mr Bramble heard Percy's criticism? There were three people present?

Major Percy's check bones are glistening means he is enjoying eating the buttered toast earned by Mr. Bramble through hard work at the same time he was also cristi zing the men of wrath I.e. the boxers and his comments were of poor taste.
