Meaning

Teachers,

In conversational English, is it okay to write like this: He is a rich man. Meaning, he can do anything for you. (instead of writing '... which means he can ...). I thought it'd sound natural.

Thanks,

He is a rich man purely means that he has money, nothing else. He is a very useful man to know suggests that he can assist you in many ways.

Thanks, DP, I see that. But is the method okay ... breaking it up into two sentences as I've done?

I thought the second sentence was an explanation of what you wanted to say. They are fine grammatically, however culturally they don't express your meaning.
