Meaning?

some people are sticking in an island.after the whole day that they were on the hike , when the sun gone , they made a camp and slept.at midnight one of them woke up and took someone's gun.this a conversation between them :

man1:"you took my gun off me?"
man2:"i'm standing guard."
man2's sister:"he doesn't believe in guns,he goes on marches."

I thought about this a bit more.



She probably means he goes on 'protest marches'.

ie organized mass walks in which people protest the availability and legality of guns.
