Hi everybody,Is there any difference between sayingNorthern France         andThe north (of France)?Do they mean the same? If they do, why is that? Is there something distinctive between them?Well if anybody knows just expain it to me, Thanks.Bye.

You could also say 'North France'. Such expressions really tend to be just idiomatic.

Note that if you are in 'the north of France', you are in France, but if you are 'North of France', you are not in France.
