meaning

Hello,

1. We can eat food from banana leaves.

I am not able to understand the meaning of this sentence.

Sometimes people use banana leaves to keep their food on it and eat. (specially in some part of India).

Could anybody explain the meaning of this sentence?

Hi, I eat my food from my plate. This means I pick it up from my plate, put it in my mouth and swallow it. It's the same idea in your sentence.
