This is an incredibly common mistake that you will find even the brightest, most educated individuals making habitually. It sounds right. It sounds educated. But it's wrong.

Former U.S. president Barack Obama once gave an interview and said something to the effect of, "That issue is important to Michelle and I." Whatever your politics may be, he's a smart guy. But he was wrong here.

Don't talk to my boyfriend and [don't talk to] me.

"I" is not the grammatical object of the preposition "to". You've got to complement the preposition with the objective form of the pronoun, i.e., "me". You don't say *Give it to I; you say Give it to me.
