Grammar

me

Hello

He rents a flat to me.

Can I also say: He rents me a flat.

How about this one: I need to buy myself a ticket.

Would it be incorrect if I said: I need to buy me a ticket. (isn't it a very informal/slang expression "buy me"?)

Thanks

  • Yes, incorrect, because you are 'performing the action on yourself', ie reflexively.

I see. So instead of "me" always use "myself"

I need to get myself a hunting license.

Hi,

Yes, when it's a reflexive action, as I said.
