A friend of mine is bringing food to me and I tell my mom this:

Ask him to get money from me!

Is this correct? Just in case I forget to pay him back.

Thanks.

How about this: I'm talking to the hotel front desk about a delivery that'll be made to me later. And I'm afraid I'll forget to pay the porter, so I say:

Ask him to get the money from me. Or

Ask him to get money from me.

Which is correct?

If you are focused on the use of the article, then this is the correct one.

(It's not idiomatic, however. Native speakers would most likely use an expression using the verb "pay", not the noun "money".)

But the porter is only delivering the food to me, afterwards, I'll still have to give the porter the money to give to the delivery guy.

So how should I say it?

That's why I told the receptionist to ask the porter to get the money from me to pay the delivery guy.

Afterwards? I don't understand this system at all. Where I live it goes like this:

The delivery guy delivers the food to hotel reception.
The porter delivers the food to you in your room

I don't see the relevance for your previous question. Are you saying you want to tell the porter, "Don't forget to stop by my room to get the money"? That is not appropriate for the h
