may/might (very) well

Hi there.

I've been wondering 'may/might well' meaning.
Almost every dictionary or post says this means it is likely to happen.
But some dictionaries which is in Korea particulary says 'may/might well means it is natural that it happen. I'm absolutely confused. because any other dictionary in English does not say this meaning. I spent almost 3 hour to figure it out. But I cannot get it till now.
Please let me know correct meaning. Thank you and happy new year guys.
