Maybe/might

Situation is,
Someone announced free meal for people one year before and still giving.
When I heard about this I said" people might have been eating even they are not hungry"
I mean to say that I just presumed . Did I made right sentence.?
Another example,
My brother,s family living In a beautiful place.
It has been a year.
They might have been enjoying there.
Actually I want to say that something is may be happening from 1st day till now.
