Hello,
I'm student from Lithuania and I am going to study Denmark. I have written my motyvacion letter and would be very grateful if someone corect it. Many thanks.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for Bachelor programme in Building Technology (ATC) and Market Economist (AABC).
I have been dreaming about studies abroad for so long and I have recently found a piece of information about it on the Internet. It was titled “Free studies in Denmark”. I read a lot about your colleges, about your studies’ programmes. I have decided that it is my chance and my opportunity. I have a strong motivation to be admitted and I would like to explain you why.
First of all, I think that Danish education system has some differences from Lithuanian one, because of the fact that students are taught only theory in Lithuania. No education is complete without experience. So, I strongly believe that studying in Denmark will give me opportunity to practise. In addition, foreign universities’ diplomas are much more appreciable in Lithuania. Secondly, Danish colleges have better resources for learning and better studying conditions. Another reason why I have chosen Danish colleges is that Danish government finances my studies. It is very important for a young man. Moreover, I strongly believe that it is a great opportunity for me to improve my English and meet new friends from different countries. In addition, I hope to participate in your colleges’ events actively and to use my experience of public work. I think that I will see and know Danish culture. The main reason why I have chosen Danish colleges is that my dream has always been to study abroad, gain experience and knowledge and return to my homeland as an irreplaceable worker and member of society, who has got appropriate mental outfit to become beneficial to his country. Moreover, I think that I will be a man, who will be able to connect Lithuania and Denmark for close relationship. To sum up, I think that studying abroad gives such skills, which are very important and useful for my future life.
To support my motivation, I would like to introduce myself. I am a person with a high perseverance level, someone who is motivated, hard-working, initiative and ambitious. My teachers know me as a courteous, dutiful and resourceful student and my classmates know me as a light-hearted friend and an enthusiasm co-worker.
My learning result is good. I took part in many difference contests of science. For example: I won 1
st place in physics, 2
nd place in mathematics, 3
rd place in history competition and 3
rd place in geography in my district. I think that my reached achievements show my good education knowledge. What is more I am studying in mathematical form and I think, that I will be able to use my mathematical thinking in market economist and building technologist studies’ programmes.
Although I am eighteen years old I have work experience. I worked in join stock company which work in civil engineering. This experience is very important for me because of the fact that I am going to study in building technologist and market economist. I worked as road worker and I had an opportunity to understand basic building technology and company’s economic. My main activities and responsibilities were various manual work, traffic controlling, etc. I was interested in my work and I was always asking my clerk of works about building materials, grading, mechanisms. I have always been interested in engineering because of the fact that my father’s and brother’s speciality is engineer. I strongly believe that this experience will be very valuable in my studies.
Furthermore, I reached some great achievements in voluntary activities. I took part in many different projects. Also I took part in students exchange programme in Poland and talented students project in Estonia. I think this stays abroad improved my English. What is more I won
election to school's President in 10th form. After one year, in 11
th class I succeeded in election to Lithuania Students Parliament. There was a state-wide election in all gymnasiums and later between school winners in my home district. This was a great achievement, because I got an opportunity to improve a life of pupils at national level. What is more I have been a member of Young Conservative League since 2004. I was elected chairman of Young Conservative League’s Raseiniai division in 2004 and I am vice-chairman of Young Conservative League’s Raseiniai division now. In addition I am a member of Raseiniai district Municipality's Education Council. Moreover, I played volleyball in sport school. I was member of Raseiniai district boys’ team. It is just a part of all my voluntary and sport activities. In my opinion this voluntary experience has improved my team-work, leadership, organizational, problems’ solution, communication, opinion’s expressing skills.
I hope I have made clear that I am strongly interested and motivated in studying at your university. Feel free to contact me at any time concerning additional questions or comments regarding my motivation.
Thank you for your consideration.
Yours Sincerely,
