Maybe in next 50 or 60 years, euthanasia will become an acceptable practice

Not very far in the future, maybe in next 50 or 60 years, euthanasia will become an acceptable practice to end the suffering of terminally ill persons.

Is the phrase "Not very far in the future" correct? What other phrase could be put in to replace it? Please help. Thanks.

Other ways to say this would be:-
In the near future.......
In the not too distant future....
Not long from now....
In a few years....... (not with 50 to 60 years)
In maybe only half a century from now....
