"Yes you did look very good in pink belt. Infact I liked it better than maybe if you had worn blue belt."

The above sentence I find a bit confusing as to decide which colour belt was most liked the pink or the blue one. Please help me. Does the speaker meant that blue belt would have been more good?

Bear in mind that, the word "it" in "I liked it better..." doesn't actually refer to anything.
