Scientists agree that people are damaging their health by eating too much junk food. Some people think that the answer to this problem is to educate people. Others think that education will not work. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
In the modern world, it is beyond a shadow of a doubt that fast food is rapidly gaining its popularity in individuals eating habits, posing destructive threats in terms of determining consumer health. While there are various people in disagreement with the efficiency of pedagogic principles, I would contend that this practice would serve as a workable solution to tackling such a problem in the long run.
Received wisdom has it that educative methods are hard to prove its effectiveness in the process of deterring people from consuming a sheer volume of junk food. A large sum of busy workers and students opt for this unwholesome eating order for the sake of time saving. This is because its undeniable convenience and reasonable price, many people choose snack food notwithstanding its recently proven deleterious effects. Advocates of this view also voiced their disapproval for the lack of the flexibility in the way propagation is expressed among people. To prove the usability of teaching method, education should be encouraged to disseminate among people in various additional forms such as presentations, pictures, competitions,… In other words, knowledge are less easily absorbed in the form of lectures and speeches.
Nevertheless, I would strongly concur with the view that education is a fruitful means productive of curbing junk food consumption. By means of receiving a profoundly sufficient amount of intensive knowledge related to the cancerous possibilities hidden in fast food which may result in life-threatening illness, individuals, especially teenagers and white-collar workers, are likely to modify their knowledge and behavioral pattern by cutting down on their utilization, or even turning their backs on this harmful eating habit. This will serve as an effective key to the over-consumed problem on the grounds of cultivating a more beneficial habit to restrain themselves from such intake.
In summary, although there are numerous arguments against the utilization of teaching method, I firmly hold my view that education measures would be significantly mitigate fast food consumption and prevent the problem from being exacerbated anymore.
