Imperialist against the Anti-Imperialist has been going on for some time now.

On August 5, 1899 is when the first conflict started is when an American soldier

women and children. The Anti-Imperialist highly disagreed with the actions of

the Imperialist mainly because they believe that the Americans are more evil

highly disagree with the Imperialists, but I concur with the Anti-Imperialist.

I disagree with the Imperialists for many reasons. Albert Beveridge says

in his speech that "The rule of liberty that all just government derives its

authority from the consent of the governed, applies only to those who are

capable of self-government. We govern the Indians without their consent,

territories without their consent, our children without their consent." He is saying

that liberty is only for people who deserve it and who are capable of self

government. He was basically saying that Indians, children, women, or African

Americans did not deserve liberty. One of his arguments was that they can rule

over inferior people because they are not capable of ruling themselves. I do not

think that this is fair. Everyone deserves the right to freedom. Also, I disagreed

with Beveridge when he states that "It is a glorious history our *** has

bestowed upon His chosen people; a history heroic with faith in our mission and

our future; a history of statesmen who flung the boundaries of the Republic out

into unexplored lands and savage wilderness" because he is saying that *** has

given the Americans the talent to expand and if they don't do it then they are

being selfish, and it is their duty to *** to expand. He also refers to Americans

as ***'s chosen people. I disagree with that because just because you are born

in America does not mean you are more special to *** than anyone else from

of our soldiers and sailors, whose bravery deserves admiration even in an unjust

live. They quote Abraham Lincoln saying that "all men, of whatever race or

color, are entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." I think that

everyone should have the right to life and freedom and not be judged or

punished because of the color of their skin.

Anti- Imperialist are correct with their statements. They just want peace and

for everyone to be treated fairly. I think that it is an outrage for the Imperialist to
