May you please hightlight the mistakes in my essay. Please and Thank You

The organization that I decided to go visit and observe was the "GSA." The GSA also known as the Gay Straight Alliance. The GSA is an organization on Louisiana Tech's campus mainly to educate students on both homosexual and heterosexual lifestyles. I think that this organization is very informative, and a great place to meet new people from different majors, Ethnicities and religions.

When I first decided to go to one of their meetings, I did not want to go at all. I thought it would be weird, and awkward. Also, I thought that everyone would argue because of their different sexualities, but I was raised not to judge people before you meet them, and that
everyone is different in their own way. I was definitely wrong, it was not like that at all.I noticed many things about this group. First, I noticed that everyone seem to get along with each other. No One yelled at each other or called each other any bad names. Everyone who attended the meeting wanted to have fun, learn more about their lifestyle, and to meet new people. The president of the GSA Mr. X who has been a member since his freshman year informed everyone that this was an organization for people to come have fun in a
safe environment , and a place where everyone is welcome. Lastly, I noticed was that everyone wanted to be friends. The members did not care what your race was, or your sexuality they still wanted to be your friend and respected you as an individual. Treasurer of the GSA Becky Shelton is a perfect example of this. My first day at Louisiana Tech, I did not know anyone or where any of my classes were. She showed me around the entire campus, and introduced me to a couple of her friends. I was amazed by her kindness. I never envisioned that someone who did not know me personally would be so nice to me.

The meeting begin with everyone introducing themselves. We told everyone our name, major and classification. I thought that this was a great way to start off a meeting because it gave everyone the chance of knowing something about every member. Next, Michael Harris, a senior at Louisiana Tech and member of the GSA informed the members that "Don't Ask Don't Tell"
was voted down. Also, I dislike several things about this group. I did not like the fact that they blamed Republicans for the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" Policy. They did not present facts with their Statements, Republicans was not the only people to vote against the bill. I also disliked every topic that was presented, and the game that the members played. All the topics was about gay
issues, but the organization is called Gay Straight Alliance so I thought that they would discussed topics that affected both sexuality. I think that if they are only going to discuss topics about gays that they should changed the organization title to Gay Student Alliance. Several members participate in a game called "Queer Contortions." This is their version of Twister. The
game was very disgusting. This game involved several sexual acts by members of the same sex. It proved to me that this organization lack maturity.

I had several conversations with members of the GSA. The first person that I talked too was Becky. "What makes GSA different from any other organization is that everyone
is welcome no matter what color are major they are. There are no restrictions. Becky said." Kate Elfer the Events Coordinator for the GSA and I have a great conversation. She told me that was have been a member of the GSA since her freshman year and that sees this organization as a
place where anyone can come and be themselves. Lastly, I talked to Stephanie Pruett. She is a junior at Louisiana Tech. She told me that the reason that she joined GSA because it is a great organization and it preaches acceptance not only of sexually, but accepting that everyone is different. I overheard one conversation as well. Many of the members were discussing the
reason why gay marriage is not allowed in certain states, and how could a gay couple get married and what are the steps to do it.

In conclusion, by attending this meeting I have learned that everyone should be treated
with respect no matter what they are. I think that the GSA is a great organization to join simply
because everyone is treated as equals.
