Question: Some people believe that teaching children at home is best for a child's development while others think that it is important for children to go to school.

Discuss the advantages of both methods and give your own opinion.

My answer:

People have differing views about which form of education makes greater contribution in their children's development. While there are several benefits of going to school, I do believe that home-schooling is far better.

There are some significant benefits that public schools bring to young minds. First, they offer students opportunities to widen their social group. When they go to schools, they can make friends with people outside their family group, interrelate with other like-minded pupils and do group projects. This help them gain key life skills such as communication skills, team-work skills considered valuable in their jobs of the future. Second, during school time, young people can be taught advanced topics by veteran teachers and even teaching professionals, which can supplement their education and help them succeed in later life.

Nevertheless, despite all the arguments in favor of traditional schooling model, I do support the view that at-home instruction plays a more essential role in children's development. Home-schooling parents can provide their child some field trips which lead to a variety of practical applications and real-world experiences instead of making them sat at a desk all day with fluorescent flights like mainstream schools. This teaching method sparks their child's intellectual curiosity and promotes the development of critical thinking. Moreover, delivering effective education to kids is easier with the help of new technologies. Home educators can use a lot of useful apps and softwares to keep track of the individual achievement of their kids and tailor lesson plans to be suitable to their abilities. This personalized tutelage gives homeschoolers the opportunity to figure out their own ways to process knowledge and then learn more efficiently.

In conclusion, traditional schools offer a wide social mix and well-qualifies teachers, however, I do believe that home-schooling contributes significantly to a child's successful learning.
