An old RAF toast. In early aviation one of the first aerial bombing was done by a Brit in Mexico of a rebellious indigenous village. The villagers (indigenous people) shot down the aircraft with a bow and arrow, killing the pilot. It was their tradition to skin their enemy and stretch his skin over the head of a drum, they did this and it seems that the RAF remembered this for quite a while
