May someone edit my Motivation letter please?

I am appplying for the position of receptionist at a Univeristy residence. i am a first year student the Univresity of Cape town in South Africa.

Dear Sir/Madam

I am applying for the positing of Leo Marquand receptionist for the year 2007 and thereafter (hopefully).

My name is Helenimo Runganga, an energetic diligent and hardworking young man studying for a degree of Bachelor of business science in the faculty of commerce, Actuarial Science.

I believe, for the position you are looking for a person who can solve simultaneous problems logically; this has been my major area of interest and it is basically the component of my current studies which include: Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Economics and Introduction to Actuarial Science. This is further coupled by the experience I gained from my previous employer where I was a clerk in the ledgers department at a Zimbabwean Merchant Bank (NMBZ). I was accountable to any cheques mishandled and had to answer to customer queries on request. My previous occupation also strengthened my communication skills since I had to communicate to clients who would enquire on cheques drawn or returned cheques, which prove how crucial customer care was for my post.

These skills which I posses may be handy at the Leo-Marquand hall reception given that first impression is especially of value in the maintenance of Leo Marquand gentlemen’s pride, and with the reception being the very face of Leo Marquand I believe I can be of help in giving a reasonable impression required to welcome visitors coming to our residents.

I believe a person at the reception needs to be someone willing to give back to his residence which is exactly my wish. I wish to do something for my residence, so I am hoping to commit my every skill that I gained along the course of my career. The reception could be my chance to execute my prolonged desire which is to work towards the upkeep of our already high flying Tower. I know I will be able to handle tasks timorously and since I learnt to respect and honor authority, I believe I am a candidate best suited for this position.

I hope to support the good works that had been passed on generation to generation, stream to stream and now it is my turn to do a lot more something for my residence, please allow me the chance.

Yours truly,

Helenimo Runganga.
