Topic: Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development?

It has been far more common for people to use technology in social life in recent years. However, some ideas consider this kind of development impacts on the interaction among people. Personally, I believe that the proliferation of technology brings to our relationship in society with both advantages and disadvantages outcomes.

It is no doubt that the bloom of the internet helps people to easily contact each other despite any circumstances. Particularly, due to the widespread of Covid 19 pandemic, people are all in state of lockdown. This means the citizens can not meet in person with each other during this period. Therefore, the internet plays a crucial role to connect people to people in such a difficult case. Moreover, the bloom of the internet helps people to easily get in touch with friends or families despite geographical distance. For example, tracing back into the past, people who went on business or study abroad, the only way for them to have a talk with others in their hometown was a telephone, which was quite expensive and inconvenient. However, in current life with the ubiquity of applications like facebook or viber, people would take it easy to connect with others just by a “click”.

Nevertheless, due to the convenience of technology, people seem to limit the time of meeting each other. For example, people tend to satisfy themselves by gluing their eyes on TV programs which have more attractive movements instead of gathering with friends. Gradually, this kind of habit will lead them to a sedentary lifestyle and absolutely lose their relationships.

In conclusion, although the proliferation of technology helps people a lot in social life, it properly forms a distance among people in some cases. Therefore, people should harness themselves to make use of the benefits of technology but not destroy their relationships
