Oh wait, what am I thinking. "Peed" is intransitive anyway, except in usages like "peed blood." If you pee *on* something, that's still intransitive. So the OS is wrong anyway. You can't pee a pod-pad.

"Pee", "***", "****", etc. are interesting in that they allow certain non-cognate accusatives referring to definite-marked objects in intimate contact with the excretor (clothing, sleeping furniture, and self) but not others:
He peed himself.
He peed the bed.
He peed his pants.
?He peed his shirt.
*He peed the toilet.
*He peed a bed.
If "pod-pad" denoted a definite mattress pad located in a storage pod, it would indeed be possible to pee the pod-pad. However, this usage appears not to admit intervening transitive verbs. I would not say *"He peed and ruined the bed", but "He peed the bed and ruined it". In the starred utterance, "peed" reverts to its usual intransitive sense and no longer takes "the bed" as object. The original sentence can only be salvaged by rearrangement.
