MATURE IN

Does one say 'mature in your writing'? What do you think about the sentences?
I've become more mature in my writing. As an younger author, it's nice to know that you're progressing and maturing.

Thanks

They are both possible. I think that I would say, "My writing has become more mature" for the first sentence.
