A photograph measuring 5.5cm by 9cm is enlarged in the ratio of 7 : 5. Find the new length and width of the picture.

Answer: 7.7cm and 12.6cm

Would anyone please solve this maths sum? I didn’t get the slightest idea of the question.

It works if you multiply by seven and divide by five.

5.5 x 7 = 38.5, 38.5/5 = 7.7 .
