The size of the ground is 13 meters by 13 meters. That is 13 * 13 square meters. The size of the ground + pavement is (13+4) meters by (13+4) meters, or 17 * 17 square meters.

  • The size of the ground is 13 meters by 13 meters.
  • That is 13 * 13 square meters.
  • The size of the ground + pavement is (13+4) meters by (13+4) meters, or 17 * 17 square meters.
  • The area of the pavement is the area of the (ground+pavement) minus (the area of the ground).

The size of the ground + pavement is (13+4) meters by (13+4) meters, or 17 * 17 square meters.

The area of the pavement is the area of the (ground+pavement) minus (the area of the ground). (17*17 - 13 * 13)

The rate is 1.25.

The cost is 1.25 * the area of the pavement.
