A room is half as high as it is long. (The height of the room is one-half the measurement of its length).
..and 3/2 times as broad as it is high. (The width of the room is 1.5 times the measurement of its height).

If:

L = the length of the room (the word "long" implies "length")
W = the width of the room (the word "broad" implies "width)
H = the height of the room (the word "high" implies "height)

Then:

H = 0.5L
And W = 1.5H = 1.5(0.5L) = 0.75L

So, if the room is two metres high, it's three metres wide and four metres long.
