Material Science


I'm a first year student at the University of Science. My name is Minh, Do Ngoc Minh. My department is Science of materials.
  1. I select Science of Materials because I can learn about Maths, Chemistry and Physics. I can have multi-information. For example, I see the thing with Maths, Physics and Chemistry aspects. If I study Physics, I just understand the physical laws. But in this major, I have more way of looking at things. Thus after I graduate, I can work in different major and have a job easily.
  2. I want to study Nanotechnology. As I know, Nanotechnology is possible to cure cancer. My grandfather died from lung cancer. My family had earned plenty to cure his cancer by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. But it isn't the best way to cure cancer. My grandfather was weak suddenly... We lost him forever. After I graduated from high school, I took part in " Thuy's dream" program at Ung Buu Hospital. I saw a lot of children died from cancer. The doctor was very sorry about that. If I study nanotechnology, I will research the new law. For example, when the gold get more smaller its color change from yellow to green. I do many modern experiments and discovery the new laws. The new laws can solve the environment issue, saving-energy, cancer...
  3. My friend asked me" why don't you apply for economic university or University of technology to earn more money?" But I apply for this major because I'm very curious. I always wonder about the world, the sun, the universe... Why the Earth have gravitational force? How something happen? I'm very happy when I understand something clearly. the most important thing is do not stop ask question_ Einstein's speech.
  4. I love science very much. I'm not only study and do many exercise but also think about how to use the information? It is very important to know how to apply the information to the life.
  5. Science of materials have many application. Clothes, shoes, watches... are product of polymer. Chip, electronic components, solar panel... are product of thin film. Everything in the world is product of material from building materials to high-tech product. It has many application in the life.
