Mass extinction of wildlife?

Can anyone help me with this question?
Global environmental deforestation and industrial pollution have caused mass ______ of wildlife.
A. destruction B. extinction C. threat D. danger

I opt "B. extinction" because we say "mass extinction of wildlife". Am I right? Many thanks in advance.

You're probably right. " I don't believe you could call either answer incorrect. If you're supposed to decide which is the more factual, the questions would hopefully follow some text or article upon which to base your choice.

You could also make a good case for "destruction."
